In case you missed the start of this series, check out the kick off of breaking down this popular wedding ceremony reading: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Part Fourteen looks at
1. to persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose inspite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.
How might we see this in our relationship and marriage?
- Stay together through the ups and downs
- Having the motto "Divorce is not an option" and sticking to it
- If having to go to couple's counseling, to keep on going even if you aren't seeing it work right away
Do you have any examples or stories to share today for how Love Always Perseveres? Do share!
