Bride's Prayer: Mother's Day

 

This Mother's Day is special this year because it is the first one that I have two moms! I truly and blessed to have a wonderful relationship with my Mother-in-law.

If you are dealing with the craziness of wedding plans and stressing out, it may be difficult to take that moment to think about your mother. Especially if she is nagging you, making decisions for you, not listening to you, whatever it is that she may be doing that makes you mad at her or annoyed with her during your wedding plans. Or, maybe, she is the greatest help for your wedding day supporting every decision, asking your thoughts, checking on you to make sure you haven't lost your mind yet.

Whatever you relationship with your mother is, take a moment to recognize the one you call mom.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. - Exodus 20:12

The Prayer:

God, I honor my mother today but help me to honor my mother always. I would not be who I am today without her good or bad. :-)
