Give Thanks for Your Blessings

I am finally back in my lovely home state of Oklahoma after being gone a year and I have to tell you, it is such a strange feeling! Things are different, new buildings and such. Who knew that OKC now has a sky line with a giant Oklahoma version skyscraper sticking out of it? I have longed so much to be back home and now I am here with my family and seeing old friends. I know Oklahoma will never be my permanent home ever again, thanks to the military lifestyle and the fact that we love coastal living too much, but it will always be home in my heart! What a blessing it is to be able to go back to a place where so much of my life happened. Born there, raised there, first love, first kiss, graduate college, got married. All that I am today is rooted to the fact that I'm an Okie! :-)

I love that we get this time a year to count our blessings and remember how God loves us. Of course this should be done year round but we all need a reminder don't you think? It is from today that I will be on a break from the blog until Saturday with a Real Engagement Shoot.
