Bride's Prayer: Fretting the Details

This series got off to a slow start now that it is half way through March and I am just now posting the first one. Don't worry this will be an ongoing series. I thought it would be appropriate to incorporate A Bride's Prayer with what is going on in Japan. Tragedies like that really put things into perspective and probably has knocked many a "bridezilla" in her place.

It is easy to forget what is really important during wedding planning because, let's face it, it is the most important day of our lives thus far! It might seem like the end of the world if a bouquet was left out on your ceremony, if the cake was not what you ordered, or if your shoes don't match the exact shade of white as your dress. In the realm of your wedding, disaster! In the realm of the world, you are lucky.

You are blessed! You have found Love. The greatest gift of all.

All the material things in our wedding will fade, the day will pass. But you have your Love, the gift that God gave you.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6:21
Is your heart with the 'things' of your wedding. When those things are gone, where is your heart?
Keep your treasure in your marriage, in your relationship with Christ and your husband. Keep your heart with your ONE and TWO.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to remember that my treasure is with you and the Love you have brought to my life. Keep me focused on what really matters because all the material of the world will fade while Your love remains.
